Precision Fuzing & Sensors provides a wide variety of products and services to the defense and industrial markets. We and our customers have very high expectations of our suppliers that include the critical requirements listed below.
From time to time in the course of executing our Purchase Orders, you may have need for various documents from us. The following links provide access to the most often requested forms and documents.
Supplier Quality Requirements Manual (SQRM-1) incorporates QRP 0541.07 App. A under Appendix A of the SQRM-1. Please refer to this manual moving forward. Precision Fuzing & Sensors is incorporating the new numbering system moving forward, so please be patient. As reference, both numbering systems are included in the SQRM-1 temporarily.

Future Suppliers
Our Supply Management Team is open to potential new sources who have shown a demonstrated commitment to Lean Management and highest levels of integrity with excellent quality and delivery performance. If you are interested in becoming part of our Supply Chain Team, it is recommended that you review our Terms and Conditions and Supplier Quality Requirements Manual (SQRM), complete the Quality Questionnaire, and submit the questionnaire along with your third-party certifications to our Purchasing Manager who will forward to the buyer assigned to your commodity. If there is a fit and opportunity, they will reach out to you. NOTE: ISO and AS9100 certifications are a requirement to be considered for consideration.
Critical Supplier Requirements
- Precision Fuzing & Sensors must be notified of ALL supplier facility, process changes, personnel, material, and plant relocations. Such changes may result in product re-qualification. Suppliers are NOT authorized to subcontract manufacturing without Precision Fuzing & Sensors prior approval
- Suppliers who perform a process such as welding, heat treating, brazing, plating, soldering, anodizing, painting, non-destructive testing, etc. shall be Precision Fuzing & Sensors approved or listed on the Precision Fuzing & Sensors “Qualified Process Supplier List” when specified on a Purchase Order, prior to the manufacture and/or processing of the articles defined in the purchase order. Customer approval may also be required. NADCAP approval of all special processes is preferred
- During the performance of a purchase order, the supplier’s quality system, inspection system, and manufacturing processes are subject to review, verification and analysis by Precision Fuzing & Sensors, Precision Fuzing & Sensors customer representatives, and Government representatives as applicable. The suppliers Quality System must follow the Precision Fuzing & Sensors Supplier Quality Requirements Manual, (SQRM) which is based on ISO format. Independent third-party certifications, (ISO, AS9100, NADCAP) is required.
- Suppliers are not allowed to purchase any product from non-authorized or non-franchised (Broker) without approval from Precision Fuzing & Sensors. Depending on the program requirements this may also require approval of the Precision Fuzing & Sensors customer.
- Suppliers are responsible to manage all part obsolescence issues. Precision Fuzing & Sensors must be notified of any part obsolescence related to any parts being procured by Precision Fuzing & Sensors, as well as a mitigation plan for the replacement part. As stated by our purchase order notes, Precision Fuzing & Sensors must be given the opportunity for lifetime buy, prior to obsolescence.
- Suppliers must provide Certification of Conformance, including raw material or OEM certs so that train of possession is documents. for their purchased materials that are included in Precision Fuzing & Sensors deliverable products and have a validation plan to ensure accuracy
- Precision Fuzing & Sensors has maintained a goal of supporting an active Continuous Improvement Program incorporating the principles of Lean Manufacturing. Precision Fuzing & Sensors is available to review and discuss supplier requirements.
- Suppliers must provide defect free products with exceptional reliability and always delivered on time to satisfy customer requirements.
Small Business Policy Statement
It is the policy of Precision Fuzing & Sensors that small, small disadvantaged, women owned business concerns, HUBZone businesses, service-disabled veteran, veteran-owned small businesses, black colleges, universities, minority institutions, national industries for the blind, and national industries for the severely handicapped will have an equitable opportunity to compete for subcontracts. This requires arranging solicitations, time for preparation of bids, quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules so as to facilitate the participation of such businesses. Precision Fuzing & Sensors’ Purchasing Department strives to meet the goals established in our Small Business Subcontracting Plans and to work in compliance with the Small Business Administration and the FAR requirements.
By policy, Buyers are encouraged to use the available databases and the Government websites to search out to such businesses. Precision Fuzing & Sensors’ employees are encouraged to contact the Purchasing Department when searching for new suppliers on new design requirements to assist in meeting these goals.
